From our supply chain to our manufacturing practices, Eco-Sustainability is essential to our mission of producing high quality furniture.

Responsible Manufacturing
We believe that our manufacturing processes should be environmentally responsible and safe for the planet. As members of the Sustainable Furnishings Council (SFC), we actively take steps to

1. Sustainable Resources
All our woods are sustainably sourced, and our wood suppliers actively re-plant trees for each one harvested. We use woods that are certified by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council), which means the forestry companies are independently audited to meet the FSC’s strict forest management standards for being environmentally responsible.

2. Conscientious Choices
All our wood adhesives meet the requirements of the LEED Rating System (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) by having no urea or formaldehyde added. The glues and stains we use in frame construction are water-base, biodegrable, and made in Canada.

3. Minimizing Our Carbon Footprint
To reduce our carbon emissions, all our foam is certiPur certified to make sure it is made without formaldehyde, phthalate, mercury, lead and other heavy metals. It does not contain any PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEP (Tris) flame retardants, nor does it contain any ozone depleters.
Our foam is also locally manufactured in part from natural seed-based oils such as soybean, decreasing the dependence on fossil fuels like petroleum, and ultimately, lessening greenhouse gas emissions.

4. Reducing Pollutants
We believe that reusing and recycling are paramount in reducing waste and pollutants, and so our gliding mechanisms are made from over 95% recycled metals. And our shipping boxes are made from 100% recycled materials.
All our fabrics are Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and/or REACH Certified, which ensures that no hazardous chemicals are used in the manufacturing process.
Also, our products are GREENGUARD Gold certified which means our furniture contributes to cleaner air in your home.
